Mindstorm's is developed Mystic powers and used them to get ahead in the stock market, financing his lab and research. He has become quite good at maintaining his wealth despite extravagant spending habbits and lack of income from his work.

Donning a cape he takes to the streets of New York to mete out Justice as he sees fit, seeding fear and mistrust in his tenebrious wake.

Currently he maintains a shakey working relationship with the Sentinels.
